# Laurel > Laurel is a US investing app for everyday investors: research a US-listed stock with clear data from company filings, then buy it on the same page. Last updated 2026-10-08. Name: Laurel Website: https://laurelmoney.com What it is: A consumer investing app for the US, on the web Who it's for: Everyday investors who want clear information before they invest Mission: To give everyone the financial tools and education that used to be available only to the very wealthy Status: In development, not yet launched. Trading is not available yet. Price: Stock research pages are free to read, with no account needed Contact: support@laurelmoney.com Laurel is an investing app for people in the United States. Every covered US-listed stock has its own free research page, built from the company's own filings with the SEC: the price and a price chart, key figures such as market cap, and revenue and earnings by year and by quarter, with short sentences that state what the numbers show. From the same page, a person with a Laurel account will be able to buy the stock in dollars or in shares, and follow what they own in a portfolio. Laurel is built for informed, long-term investing, not for frequent trading. Laurel has not launched yet. Trading is not available: orders placed on Laurel today are simulated and do not buy or sell real securities. Prices shown on Laurel during development are generated sample data and are labelled as such. How Laurel is different: - Research and buying in one place: the page that explains a stock is the page you buy it from. - Primary sources: company figures come straight from SEC filings, and every page says where its numbers come from. - Facts, not opinions: the sentences on stock pages are written by rules from the data. Laurel does not rate stocks or tell people what to buy. - Built for investing, not gambling: Laurel avoids casino-style features designed to make people trade more. What Laurel does: - A free research page for each covered US-listed stock: price chart, key figures such as market cap, and annual and quarterly revenue and earnings from the company's SEC filings, with sentences that state what the numbers show. - An account for buying stocks in dollars or shares, and a portfolio that shows positions and order history. - A help center explaining how Laurel works. What Laurel is not: - Laurel does not give investment advice or personalised recommendations. Nothing on Laurel is a recommendation to buy or sell any security. - Laurel is not a bank and not a news publisher. - The sentences on stock pages are written by rules from the data, not by Laurel staff or AI, and are not opinions. Data sources: - Company financials come from filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, retrieved from SEC EDGAR. - Where a company does not report a fourth quarter separately, Laurel calculates it as the fiscal year minus the first three quarters. Trailing twelve-month figures add up the latest four reported quarters. - Before launch, prices will come from a licensed provider of end-of-day prices. Latest updates: - 2026-10-08: Published a help center explaining how Laurel works, and this page. Common questions: - What is Laurel?
